Cimier is a watch brand that also hosts an "academy" offering various options of watchmaking courses. The courses have a very good reputation, employing local watchmakers in the Bienne region, home of brands such as Omega, Breitling, and where Rolex has its largest production site.

Offerings: 

• Watchmaking Introduction: theoretical introduction followed by movement assembly? Starting from 350 CHF.

• Halfday worskhop: build a customized watch, with a pre-assembled movement. Starting from 1400 CHF.

• Full day workshop: similar to the above but including movement assembly, and lunch. Starting from 1800 CHF.

Activities are available in English, French and German.

SWE tip: Cimier is located in Bienne, outside the city center, in a new "industrial" (as in, mostly watchmaking) area, close to Rolex's movement production site. If you are going to be in Bienne, it's worth also visiting the Omega and Swatch museums, a 5 to 10 minute drive away.
